청계천에 놓인 36개의 돌, [청계유석]은 우리가 매일 사용하는 음료수 캔, 우산, 창문과 문, 자전거, 자동차 등을 만들며 생겨난 알루미늄 조각을 재생, 압축해 만든 조형물입니다. 각 [청계유석]의 표면에는 저마다의 흔적이 남아있어, 물결처럼 잔잔한 변화를 일으키고 햇빛을 받아 반짝이다가 시간이 지나면 돌처럼 바래어갑니다. 청계천이 덮였다가 다시 열리며 오랜 세월과 생태를 품어온 것처럼, 이 작품 또한 잠시 머문 뒤 재활용되어 새로운 자원으로 순환하게 됩니다.

These 36 stones are sculpted from recycled aluminum fragments—once part of everyday urban objects such as drink cans, umbrellas, windows, bicycles, and cars. Their surfaces preserve delicate traces of origin, shimmering in light, shifting like ripples, and gradually weathering into the stillness of stone. Like the Cheonggyecheon , once buried and later revived, this work embodies the resilience of time and place. It lingers only briefly before returning to the sustainable cycle of upcycling and renewal.

영원의 흐름은 섬세함과 강인함의 공존을 담아냅니다. 중심부의 가늘고 실 같은 형상은 끊임없이 이어지는 흐름을 암시하며, 연약하지만 멈추지 않는 생동감을 전합니다. 그 주위를 두텁고 선형적인 구조가 감싸고 있는데, 이는 보호이자 동시에 구속으로 느껴집니다.
Eternal Flow captures the coexistence of delicacy and resilience. The fine, threadlike forms at its core suggest currents in motion—fragile yet unceasing. Around them, thicker linear structures fold and enclose, creating a sense of both shelter and restraint.

이러한 양면성은 멈출 수 없는 흐름을 보여줍니다. 다만 억눌리고 방향이 바뀔 뿐, 본질적인 순환은 끝없이 이어집니다. 압축된 금속의 표면 속에서 관객은 멈춘 듯 보이지만 살아 있는 움직임을 감지합니다. 이 돌은 경계와 한계를 넘어서는 연속성에 대한 성찰이며, 연약함이 강인함의 포옹 속에서 어떻게 영속성을 얻는지를 보여줍니다. This duality speaks of a flow that cannot be stopped, only redirected and contained. Within the compressed metallic surfaces, the viewer perceives movement held in suspension—an endless circulation that transcends boundaries. This stone is thus a meditation on continuity, where fragility becomes enduring through the embrace of strength.
