청계천에 놓인 36개의 돌, [청계유석]은 우리가 매일 사용하는 음료수 캔, 우산, 창문과 문, 자전거, 자동차 등을 만들며 생겨난 알루미늄 조각을 재생, 압축해 만든 조형물입니다. 각 [청계유석]의 표면에는 저마다의 흔적이 남아있어, 물결처럼 잔잔한 변화를 일으키고 햇빛을 받아 반짝이다가 시간이 지나면 돌처럼 바래어갑니다. 청계천이 덮였다가 다시 열리며 오랜 세월과 생태를 품어온 것처럼, 이 작품 또한 잠시 머문 뒤 재활용되어 새로운 자원으로 순환하게 됩니다.

These 36 stones are sculpted from recycled aluminum fragments—once part of everyday urban objects such as drink cans, umbrellas, windows, bicycles, and cars. Their surfaces preserve delicate traces of origin, shimmering in light, shifting like ripples, and gradually weathering into the stillness of stone. Like the Cheonggyecheon , once buried and later revived, this work embodies the resilience of time and place. It lingers only briefly before returning to the sustainable cycle of upcycling and renewal.

이 돌은 능선 위로 드리운 햇살처럼, 표면에 미묘한 굴곡과 결을 품고 있습니다. 앞면은 바람에 깎인 절벽의 흔적처럼 거칠면서도 단단하게 이어져 있고, 오른쪽은 압력을 견뎌낸 층들이 굽이치며 흐르는 듯한 형태를 보여줍니다. 뒷면은 층층이 포개진 산맥의 단면처럼 고요한 장중함을 지니고, 왼쪽은 반복되는 선들이 마치 물결처럼 흘러가며 시간의 호흡을 담아냅니다. This stone carries the subtle lines and folds of a sunlit ridge. Its front suggests the rugged face of a cliff shaped by wind, while the right side reveals flowing strata that seem to bend under unseen pressure. The back bears the quiet solemnity of layered mountains, and the left side ripples like waves, holding within it the slow rhythm of time.

빛결의 능선은 도시에서 모여든 금속이 단순한 재료가 아니라, 자연의 지형처럼 다시 태어난 존재임을 드러냅니다. 이 돌은 수많은 시간이 겹겹이 쌓이고 다져진 끝에 남겨진 풍경과도 같아, 스스로 하나의 작은 산맥이 되어 전시 공간 속에 서 있습니다. Shimmering Ridge reveals how urban metal is reborn not as mere material but as a terrain in itself. Like a mountain forged through endless cycles of accumulation and compression, the stone stands as a miniature landscape, shimmering with resilience and memory.
