청계천에 놓인 36개의 돌, [청계유석]은 우리가 매일 사용하는 음료수 캔, 우산, 창문과 문, 자전거, 자동차 등을 만들며 생겨난 알루미늄 조각을 재생, 압축해 만든 조형물입니다. 각 [청계유석]의 표면에는 저마다의 흔적이 남아있어, 물결처럼 잔잔한 변화를 일으키고 햇빛을 받아 반짝이다가 시간이 지나면 돌처럼 바래어갑니다. 청계천이 덮였다가 다시 열리며 오랜 세월과 생태를 품어온 것처럼, 이 작품 또한 잠시 머문 뒤 재활용되어 새로운 자원으로 순환하게 됩니다.

These 36 stones are sculpted from recycled aluminum fragments—once part of everyday urban objects such as drink cans, umbrellas, windows, bicycles, and cars. Their surfaces preserve delicate traces of origin, shimmering in light, shifting like ripples, and gradually weathering into the stillness of stone. Like the Cheonggyecheon , once buried and later revived, this work embodies the resilience of time and place. It lingers only briefly before returning to the sustainable cycle of upcycling and renewal.

빛나는 붓결은 세로로 길게 뻗은 캔버스처럼 서 있으며, 그 존재감만으로도 시선을 압도합니다. 특히 전면에는 금속 위를 스치듯 번지는 붓질 같은 흔적이 남아 있어, 동양화의 수묵화적 리듬을 떠올리게 합니다. 은빛 면들은 빛의 붓질로 물든 듯 반짝이며, 전통적 필획의 유연함과 압축된 금속의 묵직함이 하나로 어우러집니다.Gleaming Brush stands tall like an elongated canvas, its vertical presence commanding attention. On the front, sweeping strokes seem to ripple across the metallic surface, evoking the rhythm of ink brush painting. The silver planes shimmer as though brushed by light itself, merging the fluidity of traditional Eastern calligraphy with the weight of compressed metal.

겹겹이 쌓인 깊이 속에서는 절제된 통제와 순간적인 움직임이 동시에 느껴집니다. 압축된 알루미늄은 하나의 무언의 두루마리로 변모하여, 곡선과 흔적마다 명상적인 붓의 제스처를 담아냅니다. 이는 동시에 조각이자 회화이며, 견고함과 순간의 흔적이 만나는 대화의 장입니다. In its layered depths, one can sense both the restraint of control and the spontaneity of movement. The compressed aluminum transforms into a silent scroll, where each curve and arc recalls the meditative gestures of brush and ink. It is at once a sculpture and a painting, a dialogue between solidity and the fleeting trace of motion.
