청계천에 놓인 36개의 돌, [청계유석]은 우리가 매일 사용하는 음료수 캔, 우산, 창문과 문, 자전거, 자동차 등을 만들며 생겨난 알루미늄 조각을 재생, 압축해 만든 조형물입니다. 각 [청계유석]의 표면에는 저마다의 흔적이 남아있어, 물결처럼 잔잔한 변화를 일으키고 햇빛을 받아 반짝이다가 시간이 지나면 돌처럼 바래어갑니다. 청계천이 덮였다가 다시 열리며 오랜 세월과 생태를 품어온 것처럼, 이 작품 또한 잠시 머문 뒤 재활용되어 새로운 자원으로 순환하게 됩니다.

These 36 stones are sculpted from recycled aluminum fragments—once part of everyday urban objects such as drink cans, umbrellas, windows, bicycles, and cars. Their surfaces preserve delicate traces of origin, shimmering in light, shifting like ripples, and gradually weathering into the stillness of stone. Like the Cheonggyecheon , once buried and later revived, this work embodies the resilience of time and place. It lingers only briefly before returning to the sustainable cycle of upcycling and renewal.

빛결의 프리즘은 빛과 형태가 은은하게 어우러지는 장면을 보여줍니다. 금속의 면들은 기울고 접히며 빛을 미묘하게 받아내고, 각 주름은 숨겨진 스펙트럼을 담은 듯합니다. 눈부신 광휘로 압도하기보다는 절제된 빛으로 은은히 빛나며, 관람자의 시선에 따라 잔잔하게 변합니다. Luminous Prism unfolds as a quiet interplay of light and form. The metallic planes bend and tilt, catching illumination in subtle ways, as though each fold carries a hidden spectrum. Rather than dazzling with brilliance, it glows with restraint, offering a softer radiance that shifts gently with the viewer’s gaze.

이 돌은 빛의 결에 대한 사유입니다. 빛은 찬란함 속에만 머무는 것이 아니라, 섬세한 뉘앙스 속에도 존재합니다. 빛결의 프리즘은 가장 단단한 물질 속에도 빛이 기억처럼 머무르며, 고요 속에서 무수히 굴절되어 펼쳐진다는 사실을 보여줍니다. This stone becomes a meditation on the texture of light—its ability to reside not only in brightness but also in nuance. Luminous Prism suggests that within even the hardest material, light lingers like memory, refracted into countless delicate shades that continue to unfold in silence.
