청계천에 놓인 36개의 돌, [청계유석]은 우리가 매일 사용하는 음료수 캔, 우산, 창문과 문, 자전거, 자동차 등을 만들며 생겨난 알루미늄 조각을 재생, 압축해 만든 조형물입니다. 각 [청계유석]의 표면에는 저마다의 흔적이 남아있어, 물결처럼 잔잔한 변화를 일으키고 햇빛을 받아 반짝이다가 시간이 지나면 돌처럼 바래어갑니다. 청계천이 덮였다가 다시 열리며 오랜 세월과 생태를 품어온 것처럼, 이 작품 또한 잠시 머문 뒤 재활용되어 새로운 자원으로 순환하게 됩니다.

These 36 stones are sculpted from recycled aluminum fragments—once part of everyday urban objects such as drink cans, umbrellas, windows, bicycles, and cars. Their surfaces preserve delicate traces of origin, shimmering in light, shifting like ripples, and gradually weathering into the stillness of stone. Like the Cheonggyecheon , once buried and later revived, this work embodies the resilience of time and place. It lingers only briefly before returning to the sustainable cycle of upcycling and renewal.

  이 돌은 겹겹이 덧대어진 금속 조각들이 상처 난 표면을 덮고 있는 듯 보입니다. 서로 다른 크기와 방향의 알루미늄 판들이 한 겹 한 겹 겹쳐져, 마치 몸을 보호하는 반창고처럼 기능하는 모습입니다. 그 거칠고 날카로운 질감 속에서조차 보호와 회복의 의지가 느껴집니다. This stone appears as if countless strips of aluminum have been layered like bandages upon a wound. Each fragment is pressed flat yet angled differently, overlapping to create a surface of resilience. What might seem fractured and raw becomes instead a gesture of protection, a metallic patchwork of healing.

 치유의 패치는 소비와 폐기로 생긴 흔적을 단순히 버려진 파편으로 남겨두지 않습니다. 오히려 그것을 다시 모아 붙임으로써 새로운 질서를 만들어내며, 부서진 것 위에 새로운 층을 쌓아 회복의 의미를 부여합니다. 상처와 덮음, 파괴와 치유가 동시에 기록된 금속의 표면은, 도시가 어떻게 끊임없이 자신을 치유하고 재구성하는지를 보여주는 은유적 풍경입니다. Healing Patch transforms the remnants of consumption and discard into a layered expression of recovery. These fragments, once broken and forgotten, are bound together to cover and restore, offering a quiet metaphor for resilience. Its surface—scarred yet mended, chaotic yet ordered—captures the way a city endlessly repairs and redefines itself, finding beauty in the act of preservation.
