청계천에 놓인 36개의 돌, [청계유석]은 우리가 매일 사용하는 음료수 캔, 우산, 창문과 문, 자전거, 자동차 등을 만들며 생겨난 알루미늄 조각을 재생, 압축해 만든 조형물입니다. 각 [청계유석]의 표면에는 저마다의 흔적이 남아있어, 물결처럼 잔잔한 변화를 일으키고 햇빛을 받아 반짝이다가 시간이 지나면 돌처럼 바래어갑니다. 청계천이 덮였다가 다시 열리며 오랜 세월과 생태를 품어온 것처럼, 이 작품 또한 잠시 머문 뒤 재활용되어 새로운 자원으로 순환하게 됩니다.

These 36 stones are sculpted from recycled aluminum fragments—once part of everyday urban objects such as drink cans, umbrellas, windows, bicycles, and cars. Their surfaces preserve delicate traces of origin, shimmering in light, shifting like ripples, and gradually weathering into the stillness of stone. Like the Cheonggyecheon , once buried and later revived, this work embodies the resilience of time and place. It lingers only briefly before returning to the sustainable cycle of upcycling and renewal.

접힌 거울은 반사와 왜곡이 뒤섞인 표면을 갖고 있습니다. 금속의 면들은 마치 움직임 속에서 접힌 천처럼 굽이치며, 빛을 흩어져 나온 파편적인 영상으로 반사합니다. 각 접힘은 단순한 이미지를 담는 것이 아니라, 변형의 순간을 기억하는 흔적으로 남습니다. 마치 거울 자체가 자신에게 가해진 압력과 제스처를 기억하는 듯합니다. Folded Mirror presents a surface where reflection and distortion intertwine. The metallic planes bend and crease like fabric caught in motion, scattering light into fractured visions. Each fold captures not just an image but a memory of its transformation, as though the mirror itself remembers every pressure, every gesture that shaped it.

이 돌은 투명함과 불투명함의 역설을 마주하게 합니다. 접힌 면 속의 반사는 온전하지 않고, 끊임없이 흔들리며 변합니다. 이는 우리가 세상과 자신을 인식하는 방식의 단편성을 닮아 있습니다. 이 돌의 표면은 고정된 표면이 아니라, 빛과 기억, 변화가 축적된 살아 있는 기록으로 다가옵니다.
 This stone invites the viewer to confront the paradox of clarity and obscurity. In the folds, reflection is never whole but always shifting—mirroring the fragmented way we perceive ourselves and the world. Folded Mirror thus becomes not a static surface but a living archive of light, memory, and change.
